I just returned from the Democratic Party's protest near the Hotel Albuquerque where John McCain was speaking this afternoon and let me say, it was a great success!

Tom Udall had a busy July 4th weekend! He spent Thursday night at the Electric Light Parade in Las Cruces, then Friday at events in Socorro, Los Lunas, and finally Albuquerque for the huge Freedom Fourth event at Balloon Fiesta Park.

Today, Tom Udall for Senate launched Veterans for Udall by speaking to veterans in Bataan Memorial Park in Albuquerque, where he spoke out strongly on issues effecting veterans, from the failures of the Veterans Administration to the need for a new, 21st Century GI Bill. After speaking, he signed a letter that called on George W. Bush to sign the new GI Bill. He was followed by many others, veterans and civilians, who signed it as well.
