Albuquerque Journal: Udall says business input critical

Sen. Tom Udall encouraged Albuquerque business leaders Tuesday to tell elected leaders in Washington about economic hurdles they’re facing as the economy slowly recovers.

The New Mexico Democrat, speaking to members of the Greater Albuquerque of Chamber of Commerce, said feedback from the local business community is critical to understanding where the federal government can help, and where it might help to get government out of the way.

“I want to hear from you, what works, what doesn’t. When you are facing a challenge, I want to know about it,” Udall said. “… I want to hear when red tape blocks your ability to create jobs. I especially want to know when working with our federal agencies isn’t working for you and your business.”
